Wichita County approves $10,003.97 invoice for Holman Road repairs; road open temporarily pending chip seal and guardrail work

The Wichita County Commissioners Court approved payment of John and Ruth Ann Jones invoice number 35169 for $10,003.97 for Holman Road repairs in Precinct 2 on May 27, 2025.

The action came after a public comment update that the county opened Holman Road for light traffic at the end of the previous week but plans to close it again to apply chip seal and to install a guardrail along one side because of a steep drop-off. A court amendment placed the invoice on the consent agenda for formal approval.

The item was added to consent agenda item No. 2 by motion and passed without objection. Commissioner Beauchamp moved to amend the consent agenda to include the invoice; Commissioner Fincannon seconded the motion. The motion carried on a 5-0 vote.
