NATCHITOCHES, La. — The Natchitoches City Council adopted Resolution 42 of 2025 on May 27, appointing Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. as the city’s director and Tim Tucic as the alternate director on the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority (LEPA) board.
Councilman Harrington moved to adopt the resolution and the motion was seconded. A roll‑call vote recorded yes votes by Eli, Nielsen, Harrington and PT and the motion carried.
Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. and council members discussed that local delegations typically send a mayor to attend LEPA meetings, which the mayor estimated occur quarterly. “I think it’s once every quarter these meetings take place,” Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. said during the discussion. No comment or opposition to the appointment was recorded.
The resolution replaces a prior designee who retired, and the mayor will serve as the city’s official representative to LEPA unless the council later designates someone else. The council took no additional action beyond adopting the resolution.
