"Our roots in this community run deep and we're excited to continue building this legacy here in Lexington County," King said.
Bernie Maybach, attorney for Michelin, briefly thanked county staff for their work on economic development negotiations. No members of the public who signed up requested to speak in opposition; three supporters were listed and two declined to speak further. After hearing from company representatives, the council closed the public comment portion of the hearing.
