Muskego mayor’s office thanks library director, recognizes public-safety and public-works staff and flags finance report

The presiding officer publicly thanked Britney Larson for her years of service to the Muskego library and said Larson’s last day is tomorrow; Larson will become head of the Federated Library System serving Waukesha and Jefferson counties. The presiding officer stated Larson was hired in February 2017 and described the move as a promotion; the city’s library board is beginning the process to find a replacement.
The presiding officer also recognized last week as EMS Week, Law Enforcement Week and Public Works Week and thanked members of the fire department, EMS, police, dispatchers and public-works crews for their service; the presiding officer noted three members of the fire department and EMS were present at the meeting. The presiding officer said finance reports for the last quarter of the previous year and the first quarter of the current year had been emailed to council members and would be placed on a future finance-committee agenda; staff were asked to contact Jenny with questions ahead of that meeting.
A liaison reported that festival-committee organizers are seeking volunteers and that any alderperson wishing to walk in the festival parade should contact that liaison to be connected with the appropriate person.
