Contract extended to finish Elizabeth Park Loop return road reconstruction in Trenton

Wayne County presented an amendment to a cooperative agreement with WCI Contractors to continue removal and reconstruction of the Elizabeth Park Loop Return Road in the city of Trenton. Staff said the amendment extends the agreement with no change in the dollar amount and is intended to allow completion of remaining engineering work and construction.
Parks staff said that once the amendment is approved and the outstanding engineering items are finished, the contractor will resume work, with construction expected to begin in summer. The loop area is currently a gravel surface; the project will repave the loop to restore vehicle circulation within the park.
Commissioners approved the extension as part of the consent items 1–9 on Oct. 11.
