County renews landscape-maintenance contract for parks and county properties

Wayne County Parks staff requested and received approval Oct. 11 to enter a one-year professional services contract, with four one-year renewal options, with United Landscape to provide supplemental landscape maintenance at county buildings, shelters, athletic fields and other active recreation areas.
Parks staff said the contractor will supplement county maintenance crews at sites including Elizabeth Park, The Chateau, the Tourist Lodge, the Nankin administration building and gardens at Crosswinds. The work covers tasks county crews do not typically handle.
Commissioners approved the contract amendment as part of the consent package of items 1–9.
