Council approves $323,605 amendment to SIEM cybersecurity contract with Main Line Information Systems

The Santa Fe City Council approved Amendment No. 3 to the solutions agreement (item 22-0176) with Main Line Information Systems to expand the city's security information and event management (SIEM) capabilities. The amendment increases compensation by $323,605 for a new total contract value of $1,038,873.48, extends the term through May 31, 2026, and adds additional products and advanced application features.
Information Technology Department Director Eric Candelaria described the change as a renewal and expansion of the city’s SIEM cybersecurity platform to obtain more advanced features that city staff said were needed to improve the city’s security posture. Councilor Lindell and Councilor Castro asked about the additional products; Candelaria said they are advanced application features within the existing platform.
Councilors moved, seconded and approved the amendment during roll call; the council recorded the vote and approved the motion.
Ending: The amendment was approved; staff will implement the added features under the extended term and return for any contract reporting required under city procurement rules.
