The Fort Worth City Council approved a zoning case (ZC25‑080) to allow development of a Crowley ISD‑owned site into high‑end townhomes and neighborhood commercial uses, and councilmember Michael Williams said the developer agreed to fund a traffic signal at Granbury and Appalachian Way.
Councilmember Williams described the project as a multi‑stakeholder effort that produced a “win‑win” for neighborhood, school district and city: townhomes for lease and for sale adjacent to the Roy Charles Brooks medical campus, commercial space suitable for medical uses and proceeds from the Crowley ISD land sale that the councilmember said the district will use for school construction.
The developer also agreed to partner with the city to install a traffic signal at Granbury and Appalachian Way, a location Williams said is “very dangerous” during peak hours. Williams said the agreement will improve safety and that the development brings jobs and neighborhood services closer to residents.

The council’s action enables the next permitting and site‑plan steps; staff and developers will work through technical reviews and traffic signal design and funding arrangements.
