The Whitehouse City Council on May 27 appointed Serena Watson to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Miss Hargas (staff) introduced Watson and said the council received an application highlighting 21 years of administrative experience with a Tyler development company. Watson told the council she recently purchased a home in Whitehouse and said she is motivated to contribute to community planning and to be a local voice in land-use decisions.
Councilmember Michael Lowe moved to appoint Watson; the motion passed unanimously.
