The Oregon House Committee on Revenue voted May 27 to forward Senate Bill 799 to the House floor with a due-pass recommendation.
According to committee materials and a staff presentation, SB 799 would conform deadlines for taxpayer refund requests and for the Department of Revenue to adjust tax due across programs administered by the Department. The bill replaces enumerated program lists with descriptive text to standardize those deadlines.
Committee materials posted in OLIS showed a minimal fiscal impact and a minimal revenue impact, the presenter said. Vice Chair Walters moved SB 799 to the floor with a due-pass recommendation; the motion passed with no objections recorded in the transcript.
The chair asked whether anyone in the House would carry the bill; absent a volunteer, the chair said she would carry it. The measure will proceed to the House floor as scheduled.
