Daniels addressed the board and public, thanked county employees and commissioners, and said she had focused on family in her resignation but wanted to acknowledge the team. “You all are what made this job special, fun, exciting, and adventurous, and I cannot wait to cheer you on from just a little bit different position,” she said. The board noted a small reception would be held the following morning.
