Frederickson said the owners have spoken with adjacent property owners and the reception has been positive; she said the establishment plans to display local art and participate in downtown events like Art Walk and the Norman Music Festival.
Council members asked about outdoor seating, fencing and whether the venue would participate in downtown programming. Staff noted site-distance and building-review requirements will be enforced during permit review; council approved the ordinance on second and final readings unanimously, clearing the way for building review and licensing steps required for beverage service.
