She noted food vendors including the Happy Wander and the Soda Stop, and said professional photos will be taken. "We're not taking vendors anymore," Garcia said, reporting about 34–35 vendors had already signed up.
Council members discussed logistics and timing. Garcia confirmed the splash pad would undergo final testing with the county department of health issuing a license expected the next morning; if testing and licensing pass, the splash pad will be operational for the dedication. Council members and staff discussed being present for the ribbon cutting, planned to begin around 4 p.m. with events starting earlier. Council member Espinosa is sponsoring $1,000 worth of tacos from the Happy Wander for the event; other food vendors will sell additional food.
The city issued a notification that a quorum of the council may be present during the event.
