Board approves pilot of new ELA curriculum materials for next school year

The Learning & Teaching Committee will meet quarterly to monitor implementation, review professional development supports and report findings to the board.
The pilot is designed to give teachers time to use new resources and for administrators to measure outcomes before recommending a permanent adoption. The board approved moving ahead with the pilot as presented and asked administration to document key metrics and feedback for quarterly committee reports.
What happens next: Administration and the Learning & Teaching Committee will implement the pilot at the start of the 2025–26 school year, provide teacher training, and collect regular reports for the committee and the board.
