Roselle — The Village Board unanimously approved several routine and substantive items Tuesday night, including an ordinance updating salaries, contracts for public‑works projects and a zoning code amendment.
The board passed the consent agenda by motion; items included approval of Village Board minutes for May 12, 2025, an ordinance establishing salaries and compensation for village employees and officers, and a resolution authorizing an agreement with Herder Construction joint purchasing cooperative for 2025 sanitary sewer manhole lining in the amount of $189,887.42.
Trustee DelBena moved and the board carried a separate resolution authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement with Fowler Enterprises LLC for demolition of the building at 233 East Maple Avenue at a cost not to exceed $206,195. A roll call was taken and the motion carried.
Trustee Domke presented the accounts payable list for May 27, 2025. The board approved payments totaling $2,307,459.25 by roll call. Trustee Forsyth moved and the board approved an ordinance amending Sections 6 through 8 of the zoning code; trustees thanked staff for extensive prior discussion on that item and the measure passed on roll call.
No substantive public comment was received on these items during the meeting’s public comment periods, and trustees followed standard procedure to remove no items from the consent agenda for separate action.
