The council read a summary of Ordinance 025009, which approves a tentative collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the City of Shepherdsville and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 80 covering Shepherdsville Police Department personnel.
The summary states the parties desire a three-year agreement covering employment terms beginning July 1, 2025 and ending July 1, 2028; the agreement is attached as Exhibit A to the ordinance and would become a binding contract upon passage and publication of the summary. Council members asked for clarification of the July 1 end date (typical contracts run to June 30) and staff confirmed the dates as 07/01/2025 through 07/01/2028.
