Mister Lambert, presenting the item from his seat, described PCR 25-007 as “what we usually refer to as a cleanup bill.” He said the change “doesn't change the zoning ordinance except for references.” Commissioner questions confirmed the change was not substantive: “That's correct. To the zoning ordinance, there is no substantive change,” Lambert said.
The commission opened the public forum for comment and, finding no speakers, closed it before taking a vote. A motion to recommend approval was made and seconded; the roll call recorded six ayes and no nays. The official vote record shows Missus Bowe, Mister Charlie, Mister Boswell, Mister Granger, Missus Liebel and Mister Phillips voting “Aye.”
The recommendation will move to the City Council for consideration as part of the city's code-update work prompted by state legislation. Staff did not identify any additional implementation steps beyond the standard ordinance adoption process.
