Commissioners pull $494,380 design budget amendment for Navarre Beach tourism office and boardwalk for further review

Commissioner Colton Wright asked for clarity on what the amendment covered and whether the board was merely funding design work. The item was pulled from the consent stream for additional discussion during Thursday’s meeting; the chairman said he wanted further review.
At the committee meeting the commission took no vote on the amendment. One commissioner said he would pull the item to discuss specific concerns at the regular meeting, and staff said the item would move to the regular agenda for Thursday.
Discussion versus decision: No final funding action was taken at the committee meeting. The item was moved for further discussion and remains pending final board action.
