The committee postponed consideration of a proposed local law that would amend the Ulster County Charter, the Administrative Code and the County Code on various budget and finance provisions.

Chair Criswell, the sponsor of the measure, was not present at the May 15 meeting and requested postponement to allow the county executive’s office additional time to prepare proposed amendments, the chair said.

The committee agreed to postpone the resolution—filed as Resolution 265—until the June meeting to give executive staff time to draft and circulate suggested changes. No substantive debate occurred on the floor at the May meeting; the action was taken as a procedural postponement and will return to committee in a subsequent month.
