Board authorizes NDOT wayfinding agreement and approves brief Main Street closure for rooftop work
Summary

Kevin Krolick told the board that the city has negotiated an agreement with NDOT that covers the operation and long-term maintenance of wayfinding signage placed in NDOT right of way; the board voted to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement, subject to legal review.
Krolick said the signage package has already been installed and that the agreement simply formalizes the city’s maintenance responsibility for signs located in state right of way. The board approved the agreement on a motion and second; the vote was recorded by voice and the motion carried.
Separately the board approved a street-closure request for the Chop House at 111 West Main Street to allow crane placement and rooftop HVAC-unit installation on Thursday, May 29. The closure was described as approximately two hours (staff suggested a 7–10 a.m. window to provide flexibility). Krolick said the city’s permit coordinator will coordinate the exact time and safety measures with the contractor. The motion to approve the closure carried by voice vote with ayes recorded.
