The Borough of South River council approved nine organizational consent resolutions at its Jan. 1 meeting at the South Upper Middle School.

The resolutions, filed as Organizational Consent Resolutions 2025-1 through 2025-9, covered the council rules, council liaisons, the 2025 meeting schedule, a temporary budget, designation of official newspapers and appointments for borough attorney, borough engineer, borough prosecutor and borough planner.

Councilwoman Ballas moved to adopt the package and Councilman Bazemian seconded the motion. The council recorded the motion and moved to a roll-call vote; members present voted in the affirmative and the package was adopted. The meeting record shows the action taken as a single consent block; the transcript does not record an itemized roll-call tally for each resolution.

The council then opened the meeting for public comment and later adjourned.
