Commissioners said the project demonstrates cost savings through partnership and asked about timing; staff said MnDOT has already approved the project for its 2026 budget and the county’s decision accelerates procurement so the work can proceed sooner. The board approved the motion to advertise; staff will manage the advertisement, bid opening and bring back contract award recommendations at a later meeting.
