The Alamogordo City Commission on May 27 approved the replat of Alamo Blocks 89 (Replat A), dividing a single 0.874963-acre parcel on North Florida into four residential lots, the commission heard.
City Planner Stella Veil presented the application filed by property owners Gary and Elsa Trinkle and said staff confirmed the proposed property lines meet current setback requirements. The parcel contains three homes now; the replat will create four lots and change no zoning. Staff recommended approval because the subdivision does not appear to be materially detrimental to surrounding properties.
Commissioners asked whether the owners planned to build on the vacant lot; staff said no construction plans had been filed. The replat passed on a 7-0 vote; the applicant must follow normal permitting and utility hookup procedures for any future building on the new lots.
