He made a similar statement for HB 5,690 regarding the Hunter Ranch Improvement District No. 1 of Denton County.

On each measure a senator moved the committee recommendation and the clerk recorded six ayes and zero nays. Both bills were reported favorably to the full Senate and recommended for placement on the local and uncontested calendar for May 28, 2025.
