Public Works Director Roger McCormick said the safety project covers three locations that connect State Route 89 and Williamson Valley Road and will move slopes away from the roadway to improve visibility around curves. “This is a safety project,” McCormick said, explaining that right‑of‑way acquisitions are complete and the engineer’s estimate was about $327,000 but the low bid came in about $411,000.
