George Purifoy reappointed to North Texas Municipal Water District board by unanimous council vote

A city staff member told the council Purifoy had been appointed the previous year to fill an unexpired term and that he is eligible to continue in the role. "That term would run through 2027," the staff member said. Councilmember Bill moved to appoint Purifoy; Councilmember Tammy seconded the motion and the vote passed 5-0.
Purifoy was introduced in the agenda as the former city manager; council discussion did not include debate of his qualifications beyond staff remarks and his willingness to continue serving. No public testimony was given on the item.
