Council unanimously approves rescission of specific-use permit for proposed childcare center (SUP25-0002)

The Frisco City Council voted unanimously on May 20 to rescind Specific Use Permit SUP25-0002, which had allowed a licensed childcare center on a 0.7-acre portion of a lot north of Stonebrook Parkway.
John Lantler, director of Development Services, told the council the owner and applicant asked the city to rescind the permit because they were not using it for a daycare center. "Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval to rescind the SUP," Lantler said.
A public hearing was opened and no members of the public spoke on the item. Councilmember Bill moved to approve the rescission; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Tammy and passed 5-0. The city clerk recorded the vote as unanimous; no conditions or amendments were added at the meeting.
The rescission affects a parcel described in the agenda as 0.7 acres located roughly 90 feet north of Stonebrook Parkway and 810 feet west of Teal Parkway in Neighborhood No. 42.
