Head Start update: grant award pending; board approves employee incentives for 2024–25

The presenter requested continued support for Head Start to help early learners transition into the public school system.
Separately, the board considered and approved a Head Start request for employee incentives for the 2024–25 year. A motion to approve the incentive request was moved and seconded; the board voted by voice and the motion carried.
Board members offered encouragement to Head Start staff and asked staff to keep the board informed when the notice of award is received. No further funding changes were authorized beyond the approved incentives item.
