Bob Vale, a candidate for Cumberland County Council, said he is running for re-election and outlined three legislative priorities: senior housing, workforce housing and consolidation of services with neighboring communities.

“1 of my priorities is senior housing, continuum of housing care for our elderly families,” Vale said. He listed workforce housing as a second priority and said consolidation of services with nearby towns such as Falmouth, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth and “perhaps Grey” should be pursued to avoid repeating inefficient arrangements.

Vale asked for voters’ support on June 10 and did not propose specific ordinances, budgets or formal motions during his remarks.
