Evanston Police Department renames partnership award for former Chief William H. Logan Jr.

Dr. Jill Logan, representing the Logan family, gave brief remarks and described the renaming as "beyond an honor and very humbling." She said the family was grateful and reflected on Chief Logan's long ties to Evanston and his work to build community relationships.

The announcement was made inside the awards program while the department presented multiple honors, including unit citations and individual recognitions. Dr. Logan recalled her father's emphasis on police-community relations and said those values were evident at the ceremony. She also noted the Logan family's appreciation for the department's memorial and the continued recognition of his contributions.
