The Jennings County School Corporation board on June 20 approved routine financial resolutions authorizing the treasurer and deputy treasurer to pay claims and make intra-fund transfers before the next board meeting, approved a biennial resolution establishing procedures to purchase gift cards for employees, and approved budget transfers associated with the 2025 budget.
By unanimous voice vote (7–0), the board authorized the treasurer and deputy treasurer to process payments of claims through June 20, 2025 and to make transfers of appropriations within the education, debt and operations funds as needed to balance accounts.
Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing transfers of $1,500,000 from the education fund to the operations fund in June 2025 and an additional $1,500,000 in December 2025 for expenses not allocated to student instruction and learning in the 2025 budget year; the motions carried 7–0.
The board also approved a routine biennial resolution that sets the process for purchasing gift cards for employees consistent with the previously adopted budget. Board members moved and seconded each resolution and recorded unanimous approval.
The motions were presented as budgetary and administrative housekeeping consistent with the district's previously approved 2025 budget; no additional program-specific appropriations were discussed at the meeting.
