City Administrator Laura Gloria presented an amendment to the governance agreement for the Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council, of which the City of Wenatchee is a member. The agreement had expired in March 2025; staff recommended approving an amended and restated agreement to continue participation in regional transportation planning.

Gloria said most terms remain the same, with the significant change being a 10-year extension and a renewal mechanism that keeps the agreement in effect until a member withdraws or the membership opts to terminate it. She said withdrawal remains an option for the city if it decides not to participate in the future; alternates or substitutions for mayoral representation would be handled through council appointment processes.

Council Member Rojan Estien moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-513 to adopt the amended and restated governance agreement and authorize the mayor to sign; Council Member Atkinson seconded. Council discussion included a note that membership has paid regional dividends in securing larger projects for the area. The motion carried.
