The Cottage Grove Library Board appointed JP Vavencio as library board president and Lisa Sutter as vice president during the meeting.

A motion to appoint JP Vavencio to the role of library board president carried on a voice vote after a motion and second. The board then moved to appoint Lisa Sutter as vice president; that motion also carried.

Separately, the board considered its August schedule and voted to cancel the August 20, 2025 meeting because it conflicted with Community Night Out and other summer scheduling constraints. Megan moved to cancel the August meeting and Eric seconded; the motion carried.

Board members said they will circulate calendar options and noted orientation and onboarding items for incoming village trustees and the incoming board president to address ahead of fall programming.
