The Redevelopment Commission voted May 22 to approve a scope appendix with Baker Tilly to support final steps related to debt issuance and TIF establishment for the Trion Meadows development.
Staff explained Baker Tilly—s role is to help the commission reach the "finish line" after successful rezoning and council bonding approvals, including coordinating parcel identification with the assessor so subdivided lots are added to the TIF once created. "So he works with the assessor to make sure that they're identified and that they're added in so we can start collecting our...the TIF revenue for that," staff said.
The item was presented as a continuation of work Baker Tilly already performs for the commission; commissioners approved the scope appendix by motion and voice vote. Staff said a confirmatory resolution establishing the TIF and allowing bond disbursement would return to the commission at the June meeting to complete the remaining procedural steps.
No amendments were proposed at the May 22 meeting.
