On Jan. 7 Carrollton council approved a package of consent‑agenda contracts covering a range of public-works and procurement items.
The consent agenda included authorization for the city manager to execute a purchase agreement with Precision Delta Corporation for pistol and rifle ammunition through the Texas BuyBoard cooperative in an amount not to exceed $51,733.12, an irrigation‑inspection contract with Living Water Irrigation (up to $60,000 over three years), and uniform and specialty‑vendor contracts not to exceed roughly $90,000 annually (three‑year total $270,000).
Significant roadworks approved on consent were two construction contracts with Kick Underground LLC: a Woodlake Section 4 paving, drainage and utility improvement project in an amount not to exceed $4,877,960.65; and the Carrollton Heights Street Reconstruction Phase 1 project in an amount not to exceed $8,594,217.50. Director(s) of engineering described Carrollton Heights work as converting asphalt and bar‑ditch roads to curb, gutter and an underground storm system, noting easement activity and neighborhood input. Council members asked whether the same contractor could handle both jobs; staff said phasing and right‑of‑way considerations would guide scheduling.
Council approved the listed consent items unanimously (a motion by Council Member Klein, second by Council Member Palacios covered items 11–15 and 17–18). Several items were pulled for individual votes later on the agenda.
