The Bridgewater‑Raynham Regional School Committee voted Wednesday to adopt a standardized facility use schedule intended to itemize venue costs, custodial staffing and ancillary services for groups that rent school facilities.
Facilities staff presented a matrix organized by venue and service. The new schedule lists charges by location and indicates when custodial staffing will be required. Facilities staff said applicants will receive an estimated cost before finalizing a permit and that additional charges will apply only for property damage or extra staffing beyond the estimate.
During the discussion one committee member asked whether any groups would be excluded on the basis of mission or beliefs. Facilities staff pointed to existing policy language on the district website that governs allowable uses and said the district would continue to review requests on a case‑by‑case basis.
Facilities staff described the fee process: the district provides a cost estimate based on the requested venue and services; the requester signs and returns approval and the district schedules custodial and other support accordingly.
The committee voted to approve the school use protocol and facility schedule effective for FY26.
Why it matters: a published, itemized fee schedule gives transparency to community groups and helps the district recover staffing costs on events that require custodial coverage and building support.
