The Provo Municipal Council on May 20 voted 6-0 to confirm Mayor Cafusi’s recommendation to reappoint Mario Martinez to a one-year term on the Provo Airport Board, with the term to end June 30, 2026.
The reappointment matter was presented by the mayor, who told the council she recommended Martinez for a one-year term. After a brief opportunity for questions, council members cast unanimous votes in favor of the appointment.
Council members recorded voting “yes” were Councilor Patrice McKay, Councilor Craig Christiansen, Councilor George Hanley, Councilor Becky Bogdan, Councilor Rachel Whipple and Councilor Gary Garrett. The council noted Councilor Hogan was excused and may have joined virtually.
The measure was recorded as passing by a 6-0 vote. No amendments, conditions, or follow-up tasks were announced during the meeting.
The council took the vote during its regular meeting after a presentation by the mayor and closed that agenda item before moving on to two separate zoning matters later in the meeting.
