Norfolk Public Schools completed its division Battle of the Books competitions, with WH Taylor winning the fourth-grade elementary championship and Crossroads winning the middle school final.

The middle school competition was hosted by the Academy of International Studies at Rosemont; the elementary rounds took place at Larchmont. Teams were quizzed on assigned books across four rounds of 60 questions each, and the highest-scoring teams advanced through successive rounds.

At the elementary level, the fourth-grade championship was between Larchmont Elementary and WH Taylor, with WH Taylor taking the win. The fifth-grade final matched the Academy for Discovery against Larchmont; an entry identified in the announcement as "DL" secured that win. In middle school, Crossroads defeated Blair Middle in the final.

Organizers congratulated all participants and recognized teams that advanced through each round; district staff highlighted the competitive format and book-based knowledge testing as central to the event.
