Why it matters: Advisory boards and commissions advise the city council and staff on planning, parks, historic preservation, public safety and budget matters. Filling vacancies affects which community perspectives will be considered on ongoing projects such as the Town Center/confluence planning work and parks and riverfront planning.

The committee asked staff to follow up if any recommended candidate preferred a different role or had a scheduling conflict.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn and voice vote in favor. The selection committee did not record a roll-call vote on the full slate during the portion captured in the transcript; staff recorded the committee’s recommendations for follow-up and inclusion in the record.
The selection committee reminded applicants and members that the process is a public meeting, that any notes taken during interviews are part of the public record and that committee chairs would lead selection for their respective committees as candidates were considered.
