American Fork High School graduates Class of 2025 in commencement ceremony

American Fork High School held its Class of 2025 commencement ceremony, where student speakers, musical performances and district representatives celebrated graduates and formally certified completion of Alpine School District requirements.
Student body president Carly Haveli opened the student remarks and urged classmates to value small moments. Student body president Carly Haveli said, "There is power in moments." Other student speakers recalled state athletic championships and community fundraising, noting the class "raised over $3,000 for families in need," according to one student speaker.
The ceremony included musical performances, including the national anthem sung by student Cambria Hassler and a performance of "America the Beautiful" by valedictorian Catherine Leach. A senior video produced by students and Mr. Braden Boss was shown during the event.
Principal Glenn recognized staff contributions and honored two employees: Lisa Blacker as employee of the year (registrar) and Sean Johnson as teacher of the year. Principal Glenn quoted Bill Russell, saying, "The most important measure of how good a game I played was how much better I'd made my teammates play," and challenged graduates to lift others as they move forward.
Alpine School District Board member Sarah Beeson formally certified the graduates. Board member Sarah Beeson said, "I certify that all of the graduates have completed all their requirements as set forth by Alpine School District and the Board of Education to graduate at this commencement." Mayor Brad Frost and district officials including Superintendent Shane Farnsworth, Doug Webb and Eric Woodhouse were recognized on the podium.
Speakers and remarks emphasized community, resilience and school traditions — including multiple references to recent athletic successes and school spirit. Event staff asked the audience to remain seated until graduates left the arena; attendees were then invited to meet students outside the venue.
The ceremony concluded with the school fight song and congratulations to the Class of 2025.
