RSU 22 board accepts personnel actions and recognizes music educators and student performers

The superintendent announced several resignations including Andrea Bozzino (assistant director of special services), Jared Bean (science teacher), Naradine Allergsen (math teacher), Brian White (special education teacher) and Destiny Ran (occupational therapist). Nominations approved included Michelle Louis Jacques as a special education teacher at Hammitt/Hammond Academy (salary $81,260) and Maxwell Carter as a music teacher at Reedsbrook Middle School (salary $45,540). The board also noted multiple internal administrative transfers of principals among Camden Academy, Reedsbrook, George B. Weatherby School and Earl McGraw School.
On personnel contract matters, the board approved superintendent nominations to move staff from first‑year to second‑year probationary contracts and to continuing contracts; the motions passed unanimously. The superintendent said the packet contained the specific lists and that the board should read motions as written in the agenda notes.
Separately, the board recognized several music educators and student performers. Molly Breeze introduced the Hampton Academy show choir (Voices Unlimited), which earned a gold rating and a score of 97 at the state show choir competition; teacher Dana Ross was inducted into the Maine Music Educators Association Hall of Fame and Rebecca (Becky) Mallory was recognized for her middle‑school music leadership. The board also announced a $250 scholarship for outgoing student representative Liliana Falloon in recognition of her service.
When the administrative salary motion was made, a board member asked about the superintendent’s salary; the chair replied that the superintendent’s contract is handled in executive session and therefore not part of the public packet.
