City promotes Grow Solar group-buy program to help homeowners assess and install rooftop solar

She said signups must occur well before installations and mentioned an informal cutoff in September for signups to achieve group purchasing and installation before year end. Melissa encouraged residents to use the program, noting that federal or state clean-energy tax incentives could change in 2026.
Melissa said the program is primarily targeted at homes rather than medium-to-large businesses, although very small businesses may participate. The commission voted to receive and place the staff update on file.
