Scott County EMS captain promotion approved for paramedic John Hobbs

"We have to tell 1 person some some really good news," Runyon said. He told the court he recommended John Hobbs and said Hobbs has "over 7 years of experience working in Georgetown Scott County EMS" and also has volunteer service with the Stamping Ground Fire Department.
Runyon said the promotion would increase Hobbs' hourly rate to $20.93 an hour effective May 24. Chief Chris (last name not provided) introduced Hobbs and praised his leadership in special operations; Magistrate Rob Jones, who said he had watched Hobbs grow from the volunteer fire department, supported the promotion.
Magistrate Rob Jones moved and Rick Hostetler seconded the motion to approve the promotion; the court approved it by voice vote. The judge congratulated Hobbs after the vote.
