Board approves Metro Market loading zone despite resident and trustee concerns

Resident Sandy Pendleton also urged the board not to approve the loading zone, saying Metro Market’s practices had been “car‑centric” and that pedestrian, transit and bicycle users were disadvantaged. The presiding officer ruled Pendleton’s broader remarks about Metro Market’s operations out of scope for the item, which concerned the loading‑zone application.
The board approved the loading zone with no additional conditions noted in the meeting record.
