City Administrator Ager introduced Charlie Fredericks on Tuesday as Rosemount's new deputy public works director; Fredericks officially joined the city the prior day, staff said.
Ager told council Fredericks comes most recently from the city of Northfield where he served as streets and parks manager, and before that worked about eight years for the city of Eagan in several technical roles including project management and CIP planning. "He's already been consuming a lot of information and sitting in on some meetings," Ager said. "We're just super excited to have him join us here and be a great infusion of extra firepower on our public works team."
Fredericks spoke briefly at the dais, saying, "I'm just really glad to be here and excited to join the team and work on behalf of the city of Rosemount." Council welcomed Fredericks and noted the city's growth creates opportunities for the public works department.
No formal employment terms or contract details were discussed during the introduction; the item was an announcement and welcome to staff.
