Council approves then-and-now resolution and small capital supplemental to reopen police purchase order

The Clerk of Council explained the police project spanned multiple years and staff had several purchase orders and requisitions open to the same vendor; one purchase order was closed at year-end but must be reopened to complete the vendor payment. The clerk gave the amount as "$72.40." "So it's not like it's costing us any extra, just, the fact that we inadvertently closed a purchase order that we need," the Clerk said.
A councilmember moved that staff prepare the two pieces of legislation — one to authorize the then-and-now to open the PO and another supplemental into the capital fund for the needed amount. The motion passed on roll call. City staff said the funds were originally budgeted from a capital project and the supplemental will restore that allocation so the vendor can be paid.
