Streator honors retiring captain; firefighters to receive state awards for 2024 rescue

She listed the recipients as follows: firefighter excellence awards to Capt. Ryan Reynolds (retired), Lt. Ed Levy and firefighter Russell Callahan (former). A firefighter unit citation was listed for Capt. Fred McClellan, Lt. Tim Redd, firefighter Jeff Arundel, firefighter Ian Rogers and firefighter TJ Brenner.
The mayor said she and another official planned to attend the May 13 ceremony. No council action was required; the announcement was informational and ceremonial.
