Twenty-seven Maple Heights graduates enlist in U.S. military branches, counselor says

Examples from the list as presented in the ceremony include Trinity Black (U.S. Army); Christopher Brewster (Air Force); Kaia Bush (Marine Corps); Amir Davis (Navy); Jontay Rucker (Coast Guard); and Diamond Weems (Army). The counselor read the names of all 27 students who had notified the counseling office of enlistment plans.
The announcement was part of the formal recognitions at commencement and was presented as information reported to the counseling office; no military recruitment activity or district policy changes were announced during the ceremony.
