The committee recorded amended language saying that “the head of each agency shall additionally indicate in its inventory in a format prescribed by the commissioner whether any building is vacant and whether any land is unnecessary for the statutory purpose of the agency.” The committee noted the bill had been reported out previously and that the amendment language has been updated since that earlier action.
Committee members discussed variations of the language and disagreement over phrasing before settling on the current wording to address those concerns. The committee chair said she will explain the amendment on the Senate floor when it is presented.
