Comcast representative Michael Miller said the company plans to trench about 10 feet from a pole on the opposite side of the road, bore underneath the roadway, enter private property and trench up to the house to connect new service to the property. The city Department of Public Works recommended the petition, noting there were no water or sewer conflicts identified in the DPW review attached to the agenda.
No members of the public addressed the council on the petition. Councilor LaBarge moved to open the public hearing; the council voted to open the hearing and later voted to close it after no public testimony was offered. The petition will be returned for a final council vote later in the agenda as part of the consent agenda.
